Susan Juechter, MS, RD, CDN, CDCES, CNSC

Susan Juechter is a registered dietitian with years of dedication to food and nutrition education and interventions across various age groups and medical conditions. Her work focuses on improving the health and wellness of patients in both acute care and outpatient settings.

Susan is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. She received her bachelor’s degree in food science and nutrition from the University of Arizona and master’s degree in food science from Rutgers University, and she completed her dietetic internship at New York University.

Susan has a passion for learning, teaching, and collaborating with others. Her focus and expertise include a holistic approach to food and nutrition, recipe and menu development, personalized nutrition and medical nutrition therapy for diabetes and cardiovascular disease, plant-based nutrition and whole foods, gut health and immune function, weight management and metabolic health, and postsurgical nutrition and nutritional support, among others.

Susan uses all areas of her expertise to provide a full-spectrum view of food and nutrition. She is a certified nutrition support clinician and certified diabetic educator working in a hospital setting, where she provides nutrition counseling and intervention plans. She provides nutritional assessment insight for recipes and menu compliance with dietary guidelines and corporate wellness nutrition strategies.

Susan is also extending her expertise with pending certification as a corporate wellness specialist. She has worked in research and product development for Fortune 500 food companies, developed new food products from prototype to national roll-out, and create corporate vitality strategy programs.

She has worked as an adjunct professor in nutrition at SUNY Westchester Community College and is an active member of the New York State and Westchester Rockland Dietetic Associations and Public Policy. She writes food nutrition articles for community and hospital newsletters.
