Dr. Leslie Thomas is a board-certified nephrologist who practices in Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ. He graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA, and completed his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN.

Dr. Thomas specializes in glomerular diseases, acute kidney injury, electrolyte disorders, hypertension, and renal replacement therapies. His professional experience also includes being a consultant for the Division of Nephrology & Hypertension of the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and a medical director of the American Renal Associates Scottsdale Dialysis Center, also in Arizona.

Dr. Thomas is an accomplished author as well. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in various scientific journals, including the American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, and Kidney International, to name a few. He has also written chapters in the books Primer on the Metabolic Bone Diseases and Disorders of Mineral Metabolism (6th ed.), The Spectrum of Renal Osteodystrophy and Vascular Calcifications in Uremia, and Clinical Decisions in Nephrology, Hypertension, and Kidney Transplantation.

Dr. Thomas is board certified in nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is DEA licensed. He is a member of the American Medical Association, a fellow of the American Society of Nephrology, and a member of the International Society of Nephrology.
