Read moreSarah Walsh is a registered dietitian nutritionist and a certified sports specialty dietitian. She is currently the campus dietitian at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, and provides nutrition counseling to college students, including athletes and those struggling with weight management and eating disorders. By way of numerous lectures throughout the campus, Sarah enlightens people about nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, and nutrition throughout the lifecycle. Sarah is also a consultant dietitian throughout the New Orleans community.
Sarah obtained a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in dietetics and exercise both from Iowa State University. She pursued her dietetic internship at the University of Massachusetts and worked as a graduate research assistant at Iowa State University Nutrition and Wellness Research Center. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the subgroup Sports Nutrition, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN).
Sarah believes in motivating people to eat better and live healthier in order to tap their full potential. But the cornerstone of her approach is encouraging her clients to maintain a positive body image even as they move toward a more health-conscious lifestyle.
