Gabriel Evaristo, MD

Dr. Gabriel Evaristo is an obstetrician and gynecologist. He was born and raised in Venezuela, where he completed medical school at the most prestigious university in the country, Universidad Central de Venezuela. He then relocated to New Jersey, USA, to do a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at RWJBarnabas Health Jersey City Medical Center, where he served as an elected chief resident during his last year of training.

Dr. Evaristo recently relocated to Coachella Valley, California, to join a private practice associated with Desert Regional Medical Center. His passions include women’s health, learning new techniques in the operating room, and building strong bonds with patients. Being able to speak three languages (English, Spanish, and French), detail-oriented, empathetic, culturally relevant, caring, and always eager to learn are his distinctive qualities.

Dr. Evaristo is also invested in personal growth while traveling, trying new cultures and experiences, and expression through visual arts and music. He has been writing fiction and opinion pieces mainly focusing on women’s well-being, social justice and equality, LGBTQ rights, and a number of pertinent and current topics.
