Dan J. Castro, MD

Dr. Dan J. Castro is a distinguished professor of head and neck surgery who taught at the UCLA School of Medicine for more than 20 years. He has extensive experience in all aspects of ENT surgery including nasal/sinus/sleep disorders, oncology, chronic ear disorders, and voice diseases, both in pediatric and adult patients.

Dr. Castro received his medical degree from the University of Pierre and Marie Curie in Paris, France. He completed his residency training in general surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and in head and neck surgery at the UCLA School of Medicine in California. He was a research fellow at Saint Antoine Hospital in France and a senior fellow at the Laser Research Laboratory in Los Angeles.

Dr. Castro is a diplomat of the Board of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and board certified in otolaryngology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Triological Society. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the International Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, where he served as the vice president and received numerous awards for his clinical work and research. He is frequently invited to guest lectures worldwide on topics such as photodynamic therapy with lasers as well as demonstrate his specialized technique for sinus surgery.

Dr. Castro is married to his wife, Donna, and they have four adult children. He speaks three languages fluently.
