Ahmad Abazid, MD, FAAFP

Dr. Ahmad Abazid is a board-certified family physician with a specialty in geriatric medicine. He obtained his medical degree from Aleppo University School of Medicine and completed his family practice residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He then proceeded to complete his geriatric fellowship at the State University of New York Downstate in Brooklyn.

Dr. Abazid was affiliated with multiple hospitals in Texas and even served as a chairman of the family medicine department as well as program director and core faculty of the family medicine residency programs in Arlington, Texas.

Dr. Abazid is currently an Associate Dean of Clinical Science at Xavier University School of Medicine. He is also the medical director of Awesome Care, a family health clinic that offers in-person and virtual visits. He has extensive volunteer experience in health fairs, workshops, lectures, and presentations locally, nationally, and internationally.
