Jay Joglekar, MD

Dr. Jay Joglekar has over 17 years of experience in the medical field with internal medicine as his specialty. Before pursuing a medical career, he was a software engineer and worked in the IT industry, including the Mitre Corporation, NASA, and the Department of Defense (DoD) for several years. He then obtained a medical degree from the West Indies School of Medicine in St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago (2001).

Dr. Joglekar completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Prince George Hospital Center of Howard University in Cheverly, MD, and the Hennepin County Medical Center of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN, respectively. He then completed his fellowship in integrative medicine at the Banner University Medical Center of the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. After medical school, Dr. Joglekar developed an electronic medical record at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, while conducting a Phase II clinical trial on advanced head and neck cancers.

Dr. Joglekar believes that a healthy lifestyle, strong mental health, and preventive approach lead to the promotion of wellness. To that end, he works closely with his patients to develop a need-specific treatment strategy that is tailored for each individual patient. His approach prioritizes the patient’s health above all and can be described as a patient-physician partnership, which owes its efficacy and success to the trust and honesty between the two parties.
