Avocado Seed for Weight Loss

can avocado seeds can be beneficial for weight loss?

Avocado seed is beneficial for reducing weight. Animal studies have found avocado seed extracts to reduce fat content and lower cholesterol levels when included in the diet. (2)

(4)

Avocado seed tea makes for a low-calorie beverage that can replace high-sugar drinks such as packaged fruit juices, soft drinks, and alcoholic drinks. Some reports have also shown avocados to be effective in reversing the harmful effects of obesity and blood lipids, making it a promising agent in the treatment of obesity. (5)

Precautions to Consider

Weight loss is a result of calorie reduction and an increase in physical activity. Simply consuming avocado tea without reducing calories or modifying the diet will not be beneficial in reducing weight.
