Yashica Ruffin, MD, MPH

Dr. Yashica Ruffin is a board-certified physician and has contributed her passion and knowledge to patient care in the areas of family, bariatric, and addiction medicine for more than 9 years. She is passionate about the overall health and wellness of all patients and currently works to treat and advocate for those struggling with substance abuse.

Dr. Ruffin obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology from St. Augustine’s University in Raleigh, North Carolina, and a master’s degree in public health from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education in New York, NY. She earned her medical degree from Ross University’s School of Medicine in Miramar, Florida, and completed her Grant Family Medicine Residency in Columbus, Ohio, where she served as the chief resident.

Dr. Ruffin is board-certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine and the American Board of Family Medicine. She holds certifications from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission and is a professional member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. She is currently licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina, Maryland, and Florida.
