Read moreDr. Vrinda Mahajan is an experienced board-certified internist and nephrologist and a trained public health worker with a strong clinical and research background. She completed her nephrology fellowship at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, and her internal medicine residency at St Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She obtained her master’s degree in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, concentrating on management, policy, and community health.
Dr. Mahajan specializes in glomerular disease, bone mineral disorders, hypertension, and renal replacement therapies. She has a special interest in kidney transplantation, immunology, and various antirejection drugs. She also has extensive knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities, including symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
Dr. Mahajan provides clinical consultations for nephrology and hypertension at Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD, in addition to four other major hospitals in Montgomery county. She is also the medical director of the DaVita Dialysis Center in Gaithersburg, MD.
