Vasiliki Athanasiou, DDS

Dr. Athanasiou is a general dentist who currently practices in Yonkers, NY. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology in 2010 at St. John’s University, Queens, NY, and received her doctorate of dental surgery in 2015 from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, Stony Brook, NY.

After finishing dental school, Dr. Athanasiou completed a one-year rigorous general-practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center. She stays on the cusp of modern cosmetic and implant dentistry through continuing education and seminars led by world-renowned dentists such as Frank Spears and Larry Rosenthal.

She strongly believes that a healthy smile is essential to overall health and well-being. Using state-of-the-art technology with the latest advances, she is able to provide dentistry that integrates beauty, form, and function. She specializes in comprehensive dentistry including cosmetics, Invisalign, root canal treatment, and implant therapy.

Dr. Athanasiou is active in giving back to the community and has been part of several dental outreach programs, including one in Buff Bay, Jamaica, where she provided dental care to the underserved population

Dr. Athanasiou is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, and New York State Dental Association. She is also a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and is working toward her fellowship.
