Read moreTorie is an experienced and enthusiastic registered dietitian nutritionist with a particular focus on balancing the pursuit of health with the joys of life. Torie received her undergraduate and graduate degree in dietetics and human nutrition from the University of Northern Colorado and Colorado State University.
As a dietitian, Torie has completed rigorous education and training to meet requirements by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics to practice medical nutrition therapy. She is a nutrition expert in areas throughout the lifespan including pediatrics, adults, and pregnancy. She helps her clients get through the excess nutrition information available to follow fact-driven eating strategies to promote health.
Torie has experience working with individuals, families, and groups in hospital and outpatient clinic settings to target specific disease prevention and treatment, wellness, weight management, GI disorders, appetite changes, food allergies, and much more. Torie herself manages many food sensitivities and she has authored a cookbook for special diet modifications and continues to test more recipes, A Bite of Heaven: Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Egg-free, and Nut-free fuzed with conventional recipes to please the whole family.
Torie is also a board-certified specialist in pediatric nutrition (CSP) and has worked for a number of years at Children’s Hospital Colorado. As a registered dietitian, she manages infants and children with poor growth, picky eating, weight management, as well as complex childhood diseases that require special diets and/or tube feeding support. In addition, Torie is certified in food allergy management. Torie enjoys traveling to learn about the culture of food and lifestyles from other countries and loves bringing back unique and global ideas to promote health in her local communities. Torie provides individualized nutrition counseling through private practice locally in Colorado and nationally via Telehealth.
