Tatiana Larionova is a licensed nutritionist dietitian and Certified Nutrition Specialist. She graduated from the University of Miami with a Master of Science in Nutrition for Health and Human Performance.
In her current role as Nutrition Manager at Early Head Start federal grant agency she oversees the nutrition program at 30 early childcare centers, helping over 750 infants and toddlers and their families achieve and maintain adequate nutrition status, develops menus and special menus, provides nutrition education and implements concepts like mindful eating, family-style dining, intuitive eating; encourages eating seasonal local produce, home cooking and works on overcoming picky eating among others.
Her evidence-based obesity prevention intervention tool Mindful Eating in Preschool Setting was accepted by USDA SNAP-Ed interventions toolkit and is now listed on their national website.
She also has a private nutrition counseling practice Make Sense Nutrition in which she sees clients locally in person and globally via a telehealth platform.
In her practice, she uses the principles of intuitive eating combined with scientific data to provide for the body & mind and make food choices from the place of mindfulness, awareness, and self-care, to be guided by the balanced combination of wants and needs.
Eating intuitively and honoring hunger and fullness, listening to what the body asks for – not just with regards to food, but exercise and rest among other needs – are the core principles of living happily and in tune with the body.
Tatiana believes that recognizing the mind and body connection is necessary to achieve wellness and a healthy relationship with food.
