Shubha Jagnnathan’s yoga training started back in childhood when she was introduced to this therapeutic and meditative art form by her grandfather, himself an Ashtanga yoga practitioner in India. Ever since then, she has has been exposed to a variety of teaching styles, having practiced in various yoga studios in India as well as in the United States.
After years of being a student of yoga, it was during the latter part of 2015 that Shubha decided to pursue Yoga Teacher Training from Life Power Yoga which has its roots in Ashtanga yoga. She began to teach soon after completing her teacher training and eventually became a faculty of Yoga Teacher Training at Life Time.
Shubha’s personal yoga style is a cross between yoga’s classical roots and her own contemporary insights. She often incorporates science, themes, and stories in her yoga classes, which she believes enhances her teaching skills.
Shubha is now an experienced 200 HR Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200) registered with Yoga Alliance and YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider). She considers herself extremely fortunate to be able to pursue her lifelong passion full-time.
