Dr. Nitin Butala is a neurologist and neurophysiologist at Baptist Neurology, Jacksonville, FL, USA. He is also an assistant professor and the clerkship director for neurology at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM).

Dr. Butala obtained a bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degree from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals in Mumbai, India, and a master’s degree in biological sciences at Virginia Tech, USA. He completed his neurology residency and clinical neurology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin, USA.

Dr. Butala is an experienced neurologist with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital and health care industry. He is skilled in the management of a broad spectrum of neurological disorders, including epilepsy, stroke, dementia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, tremors, headaches, and syncope.

Dr. Butala is currently the associate editor of Techniques in Neurosurgery & Neurology, a member of the advisory board of Stealth BioTherapeutics, and a member of the board of consultants of Consultant360 Specialty Network. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Academy of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
