Mike Polich is a family nurse practitioner who has practiced in a variety of healthcare settings including psychiatry, neurology, pain medicine, retail health, primary care, telehealth, and occupational medicine and consulting. He also works as a clinical quality chart review specialist and audits ambulatory medical charts for use of evidence-based medicine. He has also managed numerous outpatient occupational and urgent care clinics.
Mike obtained his nursing degree from Indiana University in Gary, IN, and a master’s degree from Purdue University in Hammond, IN. He also completed a master’s degree in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University in Merrillville, IN.
Mike has a passion for health and wellness and has written numerous blog articles on this subject. He is considered a subject matter expert in occupational medicine, health and wellness, and evidence-based medicine.
Mike has served in leadership positions in the healthcare environment and has led a dynamic healthcare team, setting objectives, planning, controlling, and evaluating healthcare services. He has been involved in quality management along with being an internal auditor for maintaining certifications for occupational medicine clinics including ISO certification (International Organization for Standardization) for these clinics.
He is well versed in standardizing ambulatory clinics, policy development, training healthcare staff, analyzing quality metrics and financial budgets, analyzing opportunities for improvement, and clinical problem solving.
