Alternative Text

Dr. Mary McAteer is an experienced physician with a demonstrated history of working in the private practice of general pediatrics and adolescent medicine. She completed a bachelor’s degree in biology from Purdue University and a doctorate in medicine from the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. McAteer is skilled in pediatric care, prevention, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and healthcare management. Since April 2020, she has been providing her services through telemedicine, offering immediate access and high-quality service.

Aside from her private practice, Dr. McAteer also devotes a portion of her time to be a mentor at the Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine, a board member of Vital Incite: Population Health Solutions, and a volunteer at the Marion County Public Health Department. She is also a strong advocate for physician wellness, population health, and healthcare economics.

Dr. McAteer was born to be a pediatrician. The eldest of 8 children, she had a ringside seat to see the many ways children grow and develop. During medical school and pediatric residency, she found that helping children stay healthy is truly the way to create a healthy world.

Caring for her four children and three grandchildren brought more insight for her to use for advocating for children’s health within the community and initiating medical activities that help create policies and guidance for health care progress.
