Lauren Holway is a Registered Dietitian with hopes of helping others utilize the power of nutrition to promote and improve overall health. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Furthering her education, Lauren moved to Springfield, Missouri to obtain her Masters of Science in Nutritional Diagnostics while completing her Dietetic Internship at Lester L. Cox College for Nursing and Health Sciences.
After completing her Dietetic Internship with a heavy focus on treating patients in the acute care setting, she moved back to Colorado where she currently works as a Registered Dietitian for PACE (All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program.
The population she currently serves includes the aging population struggling with a wide variety of co-morbidities such as Obesity, Diabetes, Congestive Heart Failure, End-Stage Renal Disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Neurological diseases, Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
Lauren has provided medical nutrition therapy to patients in a variety of settings, including acute care, outpatient and rehab facilities. This setting requires providing nutritional care for patients striving to continue to live independently, those who live in assisted living facilities as well as skilled nursing facilities.
Lauren continues to enjoy living in her home state of Colorado while providing nutritional care for patients.
