Kathy Lalezarzadeh, DO, MSHS, FAAP

Dr. Kathy Lalezarzadeh is a dedicated, highly motivated, and compassionate general pediatrician with 12 years of experience in the well and sick care of pediatric patients from newborn to 21 years of age. She was born in Iran as the youngest of 7 children and moved to Southern California at the age of 13.

A first-generation student, she completed her undergraduate degree in psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), CA. She obtained her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree and her master’s degree in health professions education from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. She went on to complete her pediatric residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, NY.

Dr. Lalezarzadeh is currently a general pediatrician at Boulevard Pediatrics in Encino, CA. Before joining this institution, Dr. Kathy worked at the Kids Care Urgent Care at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and as a hospital-based NICU physician at Olive View–Olive View Medical Center.

Dr. Lalezarzadeh has a devotion to pediatrics because she gets to focus on prevention and a healthy lifestyle to impact long-term health. Her traditional medical training balanced with her special interest in integrative medicine and nutrition gives her the ability to treat her patients holistically and provide individualized care. She prioritizes developing relationships with her patients and their families, starting in the newborn period all the way through college.

Dr. Lalezarzadeh gives special attention to the emotional well-being of her young patients and the impact of mental health on physical well-being. Some of her special interests include treating and coordinating care for patients with eating disorders (such as anorexia and binge eating disorder), irritable bowel syndrome, ADHD, developmental delay, tics, depression, and anxiety.

In her free time, Dr. Lalezarzadeh enjoys hiking, yoga, meditation, and traveling. She is fluent in Farsi and medical Spanish.
