Read moreDr. Karen Walker is a general pediatrician who has been in practice for over 39 years. She has practiced in various settings from federally qualified health centers and nonprofit clinics to her present position in private practice. Her clinical interests include breastfeeding and newborn care, nutrition and obesity management, behavioral and school issues, and alternative medicine.
Dr. Walker received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Chicago State University. She then attended Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where she received her medical degree. She completed her pediatric residency at Loyola University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident during her last year.
Dr. Walker takes great pride in watching her patients grow from newborns to young adults to some of them now new parents themselves. She educates and uses a holistic approach to empower her patients and their families to take charge of their health.
