John Andrachuk, MD

Dr. John Andrachuk is a leading board-certified orthopedic sports medicine specialist at the Northside Hospital Sports Medicine Institute in Atlanta. He obtained a medical degree from Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia, and completed his orthopedic surgical residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, NY, where he acted as chief resident. While a resident, he completed rotations in musculoskeletal oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, trauma at the Shock Trauma Clinic in Baltimore, and pediatric orthopedics at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Andrachuk then received a sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute with Dr. James Andrews, one of the world’s foremost authorities in sports medicine.

Dr. Andrachuk has been a team physician for the Birmingham Barons, Auburn University, Tuskegee University, and the Birmingham Ballet. Currently, he serves as a team physician for several local Atlanta high schools and Georgia State University. His primary fields of interest include nonoperative and surgical treatment of hip, knee, and shoulder injuries.
