Gillian Mueller Goddard, MD

Dr. Gillian Mueller Goddard is an endocrinologist and an adjunct assistant professor of medicine at the NYU Langone Hospital and Hofstra University School of Medicine.

Dr. Goddard has more than 10 years of clinical experience managing patients with thyroid disease, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), nutritional and weight problems, and diabetes. She has particular expertise in endocrine diseases affecting women during the reproductive years, pregnancy, and perimenopause. She blogs on these topics on The Endocrinologist Is In.

Dr. Goddard has made several media appearances talking about both endocrinology and her journey of starting a family during medical training. Her interviews can be found at NBC News and Readers Digest, and on podcasts including The Mom Hour, Simple Families, and Best of Both Worlds.

Dr. Goddard attended the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, Columbia University, and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. She completed her postdoctoral training at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein School of Medicine and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is board certified in internal medicine and in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.

Dr. Goddard was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, where she studied ballet, theater, and vocal performance. While no longer dancing and singing, she values arts education and is the vice-chair of the Board of Directors of Notes in Motion/Amanda Selwyn Dance.
