Dr. Eva Umoh Asomugha is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in conditions of the ankle and foot region and is based in northern Virginia. She has a strong track record in delivering high-quality and expert patient care and a diverse and well-rounded research and academic background.
Dr. Asomugha earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Stanford University and a medical degree with honors from Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York. She completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio, where she served as an assistant clinical instructor of anatomy at the Lerner College of Medicine and spent an additional year performing foot and ankle research. During that time, she coauthored several scientific manuscripts and book chapters.
Dr. Asomugha then went on to complete a prestigious fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.
Dr. Asomugha considers the foot and ankle the foundation of mobility, and she loves the wide variety of procedures she can perform, including arthritis treatment, pediatric and adult deformity reconstruction, and sports-related foot and ankle treatments.
