Cynthia Williams is a family nurse practitioner, licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, and owner of the Holistic Integrative Wellness Centre (HIWC) in Oak Brook, IL. Cynthia is able to provide continuity of care for her clients by being both an Eastern practitioner and a Western practitioner. Her specialties include women’s health, gastrointestinal diseases, and autoimmune diseases.
Cynthia obtained her nursing degree from the University of Tennessee, master’s degree in oriental medicine from the National University of Health Sciences, master’s degree in nursing, family nurse practitioner program, from Northern Illinois University.
In 2013, Cynthia established HIWC, which is a wellness center offering acupuncture, massage, yoga, functional medicine, IV nutrient therapy, herbs/supplements, and many other holistic healthcare modalities. Through this medium, Cynthia is well equipped to provide quality, preventative care. She believes that combining Eastern and Western medicine gives her the ability to incorporate holistic and intuitive thinking into critical thinking, which allows for a deeper level of understanding of what the client is experiencing.
